This weekend, Transmission Entertainment presents DEVO. With their conic, step pyramid shaped hard hat head pieces, the 80's new wave band will be gracing the ACL Live stage at The Moody Theater, Sunday March 27th. The group, who were in Austin for Fun Fun Fun Fest had to drop out as the headlining act due to the guitarist Bob Mothersbaugh injuring his right hand. Their triumphant return will allow the band to undoubtedly put on a truly memorable performance.
An email sent to the Live Music Examiner today mentioned that a few more tickets are available, so it you feel the need to see DEVO this weekend and have yet to purchase tickets, buying them as soon as possible would be a good idea. We can only imagine the hits such as "Whip It," and "Girl You Want" among others will be played, so bring your best DEVO hats along with your favorite orange jump suit. This will be a really fun show.
The opening act will be The Octopus Project, a great local group that will fit the bill perfectly, as they have a great electronic/indie sound. If you are curious as to the cost of tickets, feel free to head over to the website http://www.acl-live.com/calendar/2011/3/devo
