The ever so famous Texas Music Series brought to us central Texans via KVET is back! I am a huge fan of the series because it is free and a great place to discover new up and coming musicians. For the past nine years it has been held at the famous Hill's Cafe on Congress, however, for its tenth year, the series and radio broadcast has moved to the Nutty Brown. It seems as though the free Texas music series has grown a little too big for its boots and needed to move. With a capacity of 4, 100 people it will allow the hardcore fans a chance to see the bands and not have to show up so early, fight for parking and wait in a dreaded line.
Tonight is the first night of the series in the new home and it will be a great one with Ryan Beaver opening and Reckless Kelly headlining the show. Two great bands for free! Ryan Beaver will take the stage at 6:30PM and Reckless Kelly will take the stage at 8:00 PM until 10:00PM. If you cannot make it over to the Nutty Brown, don't fear, you can listen to a live broadcast on 98.1 FM as well as on the website KVET.com. A preview of the show can be located HERE
We hope to see everyone out at the show!
